Some friends of ours have a daughter who was married in July 2005. These are friends who stood by us while Heather was battling cancer & we thank God for them. Rachael, the lovely bride, chose Heather as an honorary flower girl. The morning of the wedding, we were notified that she had taken a special gift, one that all the flower girls received, & she had placed this gift on Heather's grave. We were moved beyond words that she would honor Heather this way. Also, along with 3 family members, Heather was listed in the program guide. These were 4 people who had gone on to be with the Lord & had deeply effected Rachael's life. She chose to remember them & honor them at this very important event in her life. She had 4 tassles dangling from her bouque, each with a picture of the person being remembered.
